 We’re Jay and Angie Ballard, local hosts, bourbon enthusiasts, and the owners behind Bourbon Barrel Cottages & Tours. Parents to five and grandparents to two, we share a love for music, travel, the outdoors, and all things bourbon. What began as a vision for retirement on our Lawrenceburg property, Finnel Farm, has grown into a place where guests can experience bourbon country in a more personal and intentional way.

Located in the heart of the Bourbon Trail, our farm offers more than a place to stay. With firsthand knowledge of the region, the distilleries, and the history behind Kentucky bourbon, we created an experience that blends private cottage lodging with customizable bourbon tours. Guests can enjoy peaceful surroundings filled with wildlife, unwind beside tranquil koi ponds, and relax in luxury accommodations designed for comfort and privacy. Each stay is thoughtfully paired with access to a Kentucky bourbon tour experience that feels curated rather than prepackaged.
